Karen Roan

Joined RIA Advisors in 2016 as Director of Investment Relations. Her responsibilities include communications with clients and prospective clients, operational support of the financial planning and portfolio management process, and investment research and analytics.

Karen has held positions in the financial and investment business for more than 25 years. Prior to joining RIA Advisors, she served as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations at Dennard Lascar Associates, an investor relations consulting firm based in Houston. Previously, she worked in Institutional Equity Sales for 15 years and prior to that served as an Investment Trust Officer and Financial Analyst.

In the area of community service, she has been a volunteer for ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve), a Department of Defense office dedicated to promoting cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers. She also served on the board of directors and as Secretary of the Board of Helping a Hero, a volunteer organization that builds specially adapted homes for disabled veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A native of Wichita Falls, Texas, Karen graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Business in Dallas with a B.B.A. in Finance.
