Happy Easter

Michael, I, and the entire staff at RIA Advisors wanted to take this special day to tell you how much we appreciate you and your readership of our daily commentaries.

Easter is considered the most important holiday for Christians around the world. People typically celebrate by sitting down for elaborate brunches and dinners, embarking on Easter egg hunts, and gifting baskets.

However, it is important to remember the spirit of Easter and what it means not just for Christians, but for everyone.

The meaning of Easter is that the Son of God paid the price for our sins and rose again to reconcile us to God (see Romans 4:25). But that gift isn’t shared only by Christians, but by everyone.

“The poor in spirit will possess the kingdom of heaven, the mourners will be comforted, the meek will inherit the earth, the seekers of righteousness will be filled, the merciful will find mercy, and the pure in heart will see God” (see Matthew 5:3–8).

In the world today, we are more divided, isolated, and distracted than ever. The number of people attending church, declaring a denomination of faith, or even a belief in a higher power has fallen to record lows.

So, on this Easter, as we sit down for our Easter dinner that we share with our family and friends, take a moment to be thankful for all the blessings that we have received.

Just because you may not believe, doesn’t mean that you are alone.

That is our Easter wish to you.

“May God bless you at Easter, and keep you all year through. May God give you all the faith you need, to make your dreams come true.” — Irish blessing, author unknown
